Think of nine things in your life that you feel of abundance.
Write them down as "I am grateful for the abundance of _______ in my present life” statements.
This does not have to mean in money/wealth or material items
You can be abundant in love, positive friendships, creativity, ideas, hope, etc.
Now, think of nine things that you may feel in lack, but would like to experience more abundance of.
Write these down as "I am grateful for an abundance of _____ on its way to me now."
time to reprogram our abundance mindset
let’s break it down
PART ONE: finance review
PART TWO: career review
PART THREE: business review
[for the entrepreneurial spirits]
Today we will be reviewing all things related to abundance and prosperity, especially in relationship with our finances, careers or businesses. As we’ve already reflected upon, the feeling of abundance transcends how much we have in monetary wealth. Gratitude is one of the easiest ways to remind ourselves of all of the other beautiful forms of tangible + intangible abundance in our lives, especially when we start to attach our worth to feelings of lack. However, it is still important for us to have a clear relationship and conscience in regards to money matters as it is the energy exchange system we all as a collective have currently subscribed to and benefit from.
part one // finance review
*Note: Make sure to hydrate & nourish your body with another meal, and set a specific intention for this practice before you begin!
Take a look at your bank account statement[s] from this past month and review your transactions.
• Where have you been directing most of your purchases?
How does reflecting on these transactions make you feel?
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchases, are there any areas you can make changes or adjustments to raise the emotional vibration toward making future purchases?
Create a simple budget plan:
This can be in your phone or in your journal/planner.
List all sources of income.
i.e. main salary, side gigs, business profits, passive income, assets
List your basic living expenses per month.
i.e. rent/mortgage, car note, insurances, transportation, utilities, & groceries/food
List any additional monthly bills
i.e. credit card, loans, phone, internet, health
Factor in expenses relation to leisure + pleasure as well
i.e. entertainment, non-essential shopping, subscriptions, eating out, travel/vacation, gifts for others
Note:
For many people, money can be quite an uncomfortable subject and create anxiety around reviewing anything related to it! Getting intimate with our finances [especially where our money is coming and going] helps us stay on top of its flow so we’re not surprised or caught off guard when we review our accounts and figures.
part two // career review
Reflect on how do you feel about your current field of work.
Are you happy with your current job/occupation and salary?
Are you possibly settling in any part of this aspect of life?
Do you have any bigger career goals you are working toward?
Are there any actions you can take to feel more satisfied in this area of your life?
i.e. Asking for a raise/promotion, finding a new job, starting your own business?
In your journal, create a simple mind map to visualize your dream career this year
Start by writing the words DREAM CAREER within a simple cloud shape in the middle of the page
Draw “branches” coming from all around this cloud with specific details of your ideal occupation
Similar to a free flow journaling session, intuitively jot down words + phrases or draw images at the end of each branch that instantly come to mind when thinking about your most aligned situation
Be sure to include aspects such as:
specific field or industry
desired monthly income
preferred work schedule [number of hours per day each week]
specific companies you wish to work for [or do you want to work for yourself?]
remote work or in-person office?
bonuses and benefits, such as paid time off, vacation hours, sick days
work environment/community
how you wish to feel emotionally and purpose-wise
Listen to your intuition and trust in the process by taking the necessary steps toward these desires and goals despite any doubts or fears! Dare to dream big for yourself and set higher goals than you normally would!
part three // business review
[for the entrepreneurial spirits]
if you are self-employed, an entrepreneur, or a business owner:
What is your mission statement?
If you don’t have one, meditate on the purpose/intention of your business’s service or product and how it helps your targeted community
[PRO TIP]: look into the Japanese philosophy of “ikigai” to help you gain clarity on this
Write it down, and put it somewhere you can always see it from now on.
Moving forward—try to ensure everything you do for, or in the name of, your business, is in alignment with your mission.
Review your business expenses vs. profits
Input this information into an online spreadsheet, such as Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, to stay organized and make it easy for consistent updating
Keep copies of all receipts and invoices related to business matters
This helps you with maximizing any tax write-offs to reduce taxes or potentially receive a tax return
Make a plan + create clear goals for your business this year
Start by seeing the big future vision, then begin to break that down into smaller goals that can be completed within tangible task-oriented timelines
[PRO TIP]: Try the 3-3-3 Timeline System + Angel Number Timer Method
Fun fact: I created these both of these systems myself!
3-3-3 Timeline System:
Set realistic and specific goals to accomplish within 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months
This lessens the load and pressure of daunting/vague expectations by creating a straightforward journey of gradual + exponential growth within a realistic timeframe.
Angel Number Timer Method:
Reflect on your daily schedule and to-do lists and estimate how long it would take to complete each task
Set a timer for the closest repeating numbered time stamp [hence “angel number”]
i.e. If creating a new flyer for your business Instagram page might take you roughly 30 minutes, you would set a timer for 33 minutes and 33 seconds [33:33]
note:
These systems are empowering for breaking down your goals into more approachable tasks over less intimidating time frames. By inviting these subtle hints of excitement and sacred play into the mundane + tedious aspects of entrepreneur life, it becomes easier to stay focused and motivated to keep going :)
CONGRATS!
We’ve completed day 04’s practice.
Let’s take 3 deep breaths together, and celebrate with more hydration because we deserve it :) Thank you for your presence and perseverance through today’s practice today!
JOURNAL reflection BONUS
This is a great time to reflect in your journal on how today’s routine + practice unfolded for you.
Has your perspective on the word “abundance” changed at all after today’s flow? How so?
Have you ever set intentional time to review over your finances, career, and business in this way before? Did any uncomfortable feelings come up?
What kind of abundance are you manifesting for 2022?
